Nestled next to the main road between Polokwane and Heinertburg in the Limpopo province, you'll find Fiki's creative haven. His home, though unique and completely out of the ordinary, is easily missed if you don't know what you're looking for. Fiki has built a home from unexpected materials like beer bottles and cement and very happily turns a house number or a positive statement into a cement work of art. The warmth of ‘You are welcomed’ and his insight ‘Love is for two and three is 4 divorce’ is truly endearing. You can contact Fiki on 074 465 9091 (yes, it works) for cement creations.

Salon 9, a quaint little gallery in Kloof Street, Cape Town, featured the work
of Pretoria-based artist Louis Minnaar and we were blown away. Minnaar's
work has been published in A Small Seed magazine and we're sure he’s a
name to watch. We couldn't resist sneaking a few shots.
